I've been there. It's a G18. It isn't like they're using TEMU switches. Awesome shop, but very expensive because of Cook County hi-jinks. They have a great weekly USPSA style night where they close down one of the ranges and set up stages to go through. The only thing even close to that in the area.

LD, back when I was an FFL 01, a Friend of mine who was an 07 let me come over and shoot a bunch of his full auto. He had an 18C (fullauto from the Factory) and you are NOT wrong, it was a "Blast" (no pun intended) although my Favorite full auto/select fire was his MP5 SD. Shooting all of his FA, along with the ATF Agent who did my CI convincing me I needed my SOT, caused me to get my SOT. And I was going to get an LE Letter so I could get a couple of FA weapons until I started thinking about the "Actual Cost". The Cost of a Non-transferrable FA weapon was about 10% of what a similar Transferrable weapon costs. Back then, a Non-transferrable MP5 ran about $1,500.00 or so whereas a transferrable one (if you could find it) ran about $20,000.00. So it wasn't the cost of the weapon that kept me from getting one but rather, I started thinking about how much ammo I'd go through.....THAT'S what stopped me. FWIW, My Friend also had a Mini-gun he said I could shoot if I'd supply the FACTORY ammo. He'd just finished replacing about $12,000.00 in parts because the last guy he let run it used Reloads and it blew out a Primer and jammed the Firing mechanism. I started thinking about how much ammo it'd go through with it set at 4,000 rnds a minute. Just pulling the trigger and letting up would be like "Boy, that was a FUN $200.00!", LOL! Seriously, for those who've never shot full auto, if you get the chnce then do it. They don't call the selector the "Giggle Switch" for nothing, it will definitely have you laughing.

My local hospitals treats cancer patients. They give the patients legal pain medication during their treatment. They then take their medication home. Then random people who may or may not have cancer get illegal pain medication on the internet. Clearly, this because the hospital is fighting cancer. The FDA met with the company that invented the cancer treatment and asked them to make it less painful. Cancer treatment company said no because that would be stupid. City sues the cancer treatment company, hospital and local pharmacy because of street fentanyl made in a garage. Makes sense right?

I'm sorry, but if a firearm manufacturer knew as Glock did; that the firearm they produced is being manipulated into an automatic weapon by their design and could redesign to prevent this, then they should be held liable.

Glock, and every other gun manufacturer, should stop all sales to agencies who bring and are involved in these lawsuits. I mean if they are that dangerous then none of those agencies should have these "dangerous weapons".

Glock has seen very few modifications since its conception. Gaston Glock passed away not too long ago. Doubtful he designed it in the hopes someone would make this mod. So here we are. Trying to destroy a company making a safe and great product because someone created a workaround.

The strange thing about this new law suit is they are charging that two gun shops are " providing Glocks to gang members, knowing that they will be illegally turned into machine guns" but one of the shops Midwest sporting goods in Lyons, has a clientele that is very heavy on Police Officers ( I myself got in extra practice there, while I was in the Cook County Sheriffs Police Academy, and much later I took my state mandated Armed Security Guard qualification there. The real reason they want it closed is that it's the only range facility in that area of the county, even though it's not located within 1500 yards of a school, church, park, Forest Preserve, or cemetery as required by a County ordinance that was passed in the 1980s the area it's in is mainly industrial in nature, with stone quarries being the main industrial activity, and it's been operated for years, with very little in the way of problems, meanwhile Eagle Sports was in the news a few years ago due to a break in in which a large number of firearms were stolen.

In the GOAL summary on the website in the Frames and Receivers section it says frames and receivers must be pre-2016 if possessed after 8/1, then it says at the end of that section private-built assault-style must be registered by 8/1/2024. So receivers and frames are a no after 8/1 but if you build it and register it before 8/2 it's legal. So buy a lower receiver for an AR-15 at one of the shops that sells them like The Gun Rack and register it as a complete rifle by 8/1. Self-built with receivers post 94-ban have to be MA compliant but they can have a shroud/free-float handguard and vertical/angled foregrip.
